Visit Mount Vernon!
I would love to visit Mount Vernon, George Washington's home, this weekend with my family! it's a lovely place to visit, with so much to do and see! As far as accommodations, I would stay in Washington, DC, perhaps at Club Quarters, one of our favorite hotels, and itGÇÖs fairly reasonable, too. Then I would take the metro to Alexandria where we would hop on a bus to Mount Vernon. Cabs are possible, also, but itGÇÖs a lot cheaper and just as easy to take the bus, and the bus stops right in front of the estate so you won't feel confused upon arrival. Mount Vernon is only 16 miles south of DC, so itGÇÖs really not far to travel. ... more
